How Porcelain Veneers are Applied
The process of applying porcelain veneers in Grande Prairie is minimally invasive. Digital impressions are made of your teeth to make sure that the shells fit. Your teeth are cleaned before a thin layer of enamel is etched off, a necessary step, otherwise the veneers won’t lay flat and stick to your tooth. Dentists typically only need to remove about 0.5mm of enamel. However, the amount may differ from patient to patient; our dentist will let you know what is best for your case before moving ahead with any procedures.
Temporary veneers will be provided to protect your teeth until permanent ones are made. An ultraviolet light and dental cement are used to attach the veneer to each tooth.
